Nitrous Oxide Sedation & General Anesthesia

We Provide

Nitrous Oxide Sedation (Laughing Gas)
We use nitrous to relax very anxious patients and patients with strong gag reflexes. At the end of each appointment, the patient breathes oxygen for five minutes to flush out any remaining nitrous oxide.

General Anesthesia
We provide dental care under general anesthesia sedation at the
C. Rex Witherspoon Surgery Center.

We Do Not Provide

Nitrous Oxide with Oral Medication
This is usually referred to as in-office, or conscious sedation. The oral medication provides a deeper level of sedation.
